Actors Jeong Min-a, Dong-ha, Kim Hee-jeong, and Kang Kyung-hun have confirmed their appearances in KBS 1TV's new daily drama 'Mom has gone crazy'.
The new KBS 1TV daily drama 'Mom has gone crazy (working title)' (directed by Sungjunhae, written by Na Seung-hyun), scheduled to premiere in September, depicts the turbulent coming-of-age story of a family created by a mother who lived her life for her family, a mother who lived her life only for herself, and the children of the two mothers who are entangled like enemies.
"Mom has gone crazy" is a work born from the collaboration of director Sungjunhae, who showed delicate and steady directing in "Iron Family" and "Eurasian My Life," and writer Na Seung-hyun, who demonstrated solid writing in "Beans in My Eyes" and "Crazy Love." Four trusted, watch-worthy actors with distinct personalities and charms have joined, raising expectations for the drama's completion.
First, Jeong Min-a plays Kang Da-mi, the personal assistant to Cha Seung-yoon (played by Dong-ha), the head designer of Hwanggeum Apparel. Adopted by Jo Mi-mi (played by Kim Hee-jeong) at age 5, she is the youngest daughter who is bright, spirited, and loves her family more than anyone. As she boldly pursues her long-held dream of becoming a fashion designer, she faces unexpected incidents and grows further.
Dong-ha plays Cha Seung-yoon, the head designer of Hwanggeum Apparel and the eldest grandson of the Hwanggeum family. After losing his parents in a childhood accident, he went alone to study in the United States and grew into a world-renowned fashion designer. He values clothes over people and strives to uncover the truth behind his parents' accident 23 years ago.
Kim Hee-jeong passionately portrays Jo Mi-mi, Kang Da-mi's mother and the operator of Mimi's samgyetang. Even after her husband set up a new household with another woman, she raised three children alone while caring for her mother-in-law, making her a tough mother. But when her three children repeatedly cause trouble, changes come to Jo Mi-mi's life, who has lived her whole life devoted to her family.
Kang Kyung-hun appears as Jeon Jin-hee, the CEO of Hwanggeum Apparel and daughter-in-law of the Hwanggeum family. On the surface she seems an elegant businesswoman with a perfect family, but beneath that she harbors a dangerous desire that will not hesitate to lie to protect what is hers.
Regarding this, the production team said "The unpredictable stories created by two mothers who have loved their families in completely different ways and children who live with their own wounds and desires will add fun," and noted "Because actors with solid acting skills have perfectly immersed themselves in their characters, we plan to present a message with depth that offers laughter and empathy as well as a chance to reconsider the meaning of family, so please give it your 관심 and 기대."
Meanwhile, 'Mom has gone crazy' is scheduled to premiere in September following "Our Happy Days."
