Singer G.NA (Choi Ji-na) will resume activities for the first time in 10 years by stepping in as the MC of a K-pop event in Canada.
On the 19th, according to the Kimchi & K-Food Festival, G.NA will join as the special MC of the 2026 Kimchi Festival K-pop Dance Championship, to be held on the 28th at Town Centre Park in Coquitlam, British Columbia, Canada.
The organizers introduced G.NA as a Korean Canadian artist and said she will lead the event together with the participants and the audience. G.NA also left a comment on a related post, saying, "Can't wait."
It will be essentially the first time in about 10 years that G.NA appears at an official event since she effectively halted activities in the entertainment industry. Earlier in June, she signaled a return by previewing a remake of her signature song "I'll Back Off So You Can Live Better."
G.NA debuted in 2010 and gained popularity with "I'll Back Off So You Can Live Better," "Black & White," and "Top Girl."
However, in 2016, after receiving a summary order of a 2 million won fine for violating the Act on the Punishment of Acts of Arranging Prostitution, she effectively suspended her activities. At the time, G.NA explained that it was not a relationship premised on financial compensation, but that she had met the man because they were mutually interested in each other.
