Actor Lee Soo-hyuk is leaving "Men of the harem." His position is being discussed for actor Lee Jong-won.
On the 19th, Lee Soo-hyuk's agency, Saram Entertainment, told OSEN, "Lee Soo-hyuk is indeed leaving 'Men of the harem' due to scheduling reasons."
Earlier, Lee Soo-hyuk had been confirmed to appear in "Men of the harem" as one of the concubines of Latil, the heroine played by Suzy, and had begun filming. But because of scheduling conflicts he was forced to decide to leave.
News that Lee Jong-won was newly cast in the role vacated by Lee Soo-hyuk drew attention. Regarding this, Lee Jong-won's agency, The Black Label, told OSEN, "We are discussing appearing in 'Men of the harem.'"
"Men of the harem," based on a popular web novel of the same name, is a court romance fantasy about an empress who brings in male concubines to protect the emperor's position. Director Lee Eung-bok, who made the series "Descendants of the Sun," "Goblin," "Mr. Sunshine," and "Sweet Home," is directing, and writer Hwang Jin-young, who wrote "Rebel: Thief Who Stole the People" and "Lovers," is in charge of the screenplay. Along with the lead Suzy, actors Shin Seung-ho, Dex, Kim Dan, and Yoo Jung-hoo are scheduled to appear as concubines.<
