The group RESCENE donated to Geoje Island, which suffered heavy rain damage.
On the 19th, Geoje city said "ambassador RESCENE recently donated 50 million won in the name of their fandom REMINE to help restore damage from the recent heavy rains in Geoje and to help displaced residents return to normal life."
RESCENE has participated in various promotional activities to showcase Geoje since being appointed a Geoje city ambassador last May. This donation is meaningful in that the special connection between RESCENE and Geoje has led to sharing for the local community.
RESCENE came together to help victims and support prompt recovery after concentrated heavy rains in the Geoje area from the 15th to the 17th caused flooding, landslides, and damage to roads and facilities.
Mayor Beon Gwang-yong of Geoje said "the warm heart that RESCENE conveyed will be a great comfort and strength to citizens." The funds provided by RESCENE will be used for damage restoration and the prompt recovery of citizens' daily lives.
Prior to RESCENE, the fandom opened a dedicated page in the name of the RESCENE fandom on the Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association site so donations could be made for neighbors affected by the concentrated heavy rains in the Gyeongnam region, and as of 9 a.m. on the 19th more than 40 million won had been raised.
