The film 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' (director Destin Cretton, distributed by Sony Pictures) has held the No. 1 spot at the North American box office for three consecutive weeks and set a series record by surpassing $2 billion in worldwide box office revenue.
Again setting this year's fastest record domestically by surpassing 7 million viewers, the film 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day,' which is aiming for the highest domestic gross in the 'Tomspa' series by consecutively overtaking the records of 'Spider-Man: Homecoming' and 'Spider-Man: No Way Home,' has continued its unprecedented box office phenomenon by surpassing $2 billion in worldwide box office revenue. According to Box Office Mojo, 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' reached approximately $2,025,400,000 in worldwide box office revenue (about 2.8513 trillion won) just 17 days after release.
This is the eighth film to surpass $2 billion worldwide, and according to Deadline, following 'Avengers: Endgame' (which reached it in 11 days), it proved its explosive global box office power by becoming the second-fastest film to surpass $2 billion in box office revenue. It also surpassed the box office revenue of 'Spider-Man: No Way Home' (about $1.9 billion) and rose into the all-time box office top eight, drawing further attention as the highest-grossing entry in the 'Tomspa' series.
At the same time, 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' held the top spot in its third week of North American release, recording No. 1 at the box office for three consecutive weeks and demonstrating unflagging box office enthusiasm.
