'Sdeepa' Back Kooyoung conveyed his feelings about becoming a survival contestant again after being a master on 'Boys2 Planet.'
On the morning of the 10th at the Elliena Hotel in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, Mnet's new survival show 'Street World Fighter: Director's War' (hereinafter 'Sdeepa') held a production presentation. The production presentation was attended by PD Choi Jeong-nam as well as choreographers Nain, Renan, Bada, Back Kooyoung, Babyju, Shimizu, In-gyu, Jeong Min-joon, Casper and Haesh.
'Street World Fighter: Director's War' is a new expansion of Mnet's dance series that started with 'Street Woman Fighter' and sparked a 'dance syndrome' in Korea. While the existing series highlighted the competition of world-class 'dancers,' this time 'performance directors' who plan and complete the stage will take the forefront to wage an intense 'work war' by fighting with their heads and proving themselves with their bodies.
Earlier, Back Kooyoung participated as a dance master on Mnet's idol survival show 'Boys2 Planet' and showed a strict side. Asked how he felt about returning as a survival contestant through 'Sdeepa,' he reflected, saying, "Coming back as a contestant again, I feel apologetic to the Boys2 Planet participants every day. I am also spending each desperate day to survive, and I am truly sorry that I could not understand those kids' feelings."
He added that, "Having tried being a teacher and a contestant, there are times when becoming a strict teacher to myself and pushing myself is necessary, so I am working hard," expressing growth.
Meanwhile, 'Street World Fighter: Director's War' premieres today (18th) at 10 p.m.
