Jin of the group BTS wrote a meaningful record on the global music platform Spotify.
According to Spotify on the 18th, the title track of Jin's second mini album 'Echo', released last May, "Don't Say You Love Me," surpassed 1 billion cumulative streams. This is the highest play count among all solo songs released by Jin.
The song, a pop track, sings of the complicated feelings of lovers who cannot bring themselves to let go even as they face a breakup. Jin's characteristic calm and delicate vocals blend with restrained sounds to deliver a deep resonance to listeners.
Its global chart performance was also dazzling. Upon release it reached No. 90 on the U.S. Billboard main song chart Hot 100, marking Jin's third overall Hot 100 entry following "The Astronaut" (2022) and the title track "Running Wild" from mini album 1 (2024). In addition, it entered the top 10 of major worldwide charts, including No. 2 on Spotify's Weekly Top Songs Global and No. 6 on Billboard's Global 200, proving its strong popularity.
Meanwhile, the mini album 2 'Echo', which includes the track, reached No. 3 on the U.S. Billboard main album chart Billboard 200, marking Jin's best performance since his solo debut.
