"Singer Jo Jjaej has surprisingly confessed that he has been having plastic surgery for more than 20 years.
On the 17th broadcast of KBS2 Malja Show, which was produced as a special on "life's crossroads," Jo Jjaej appeared as an empathy guest.
That day, when MC Jung Beom Kyun opened by saying, "I heard it cost the price of a mid-size car," Jo Jjaej joked, "He is the origin of male plastic surgery." He then expressed disappointment at the tepid reaction from the audience, saying, "I thought they'd be buzzing," and candidly admitted, "It's a face that cost a lot of money. I did my eyes and nose," which drew laughter.
More surprising was that the person who first suggested plastic surgery was his mother. Recalling about 20 years ago, Jo Jjaej said, "At the time, men did not get plastic surgery much. My mother said, 'You have a face with no competitiveness. You should fix it,'" and revealed that at his mother's encouragement he had double eyelid surgery and had his nose done.
He recently even had work done on his teeth. He confessed without hesitation, "I originally had an extra tooth, and my wife wouldn't kiss me because my breath smelled. So I had my teeth completely redone," prompting roaring laughter at the scene.
Meanwhile, Jo Jjaej cited the moment he opened a bar and then entered the path of a singer as the turning point of his life that day. He said his living conditions changed afterward, adding, "We moved from a villa to an APT., and the side dishes my wife makes changed. The family's status changed," which added to the laughter.
