Group Sistar member and singer Soyou shared her thoughts on childbirth.
On the 17th, a video titled "Did my ex cheat? (I have no idea how much to reveal)" was posted on the YouTube channel Soyougi. That day Soyou had a conversation with the production team about dating, childbirth and marriage.
Soyou opened by saying, "My ultimate life goal was to be a mother. So at 30 I really tried to get my body healthy to freeze my eggs. They said good eggs come from being healthy."
She said, "When I asked around they said three years is the basic storage period, and you can extend it, but the condition of the eggs gradually worsens," and added, "And they said you have to inject your belly every day with a syringe, so I gave up." Soyou said she has a fear of needles.
She continued, "When I was 30 the coronavirus outbreak happened. Every time children went out they wore masks. I felt kind of sorry for them. There are so many fun things in this world, and if you had a child then there would be so many things to worry about. I felt I didn't want to have my child in this kind of world," she added.
She went on, "Around 32 I started to think I didn't really want to get married. If I'm not going to have children I don't want to get married," she said, eliciting sympathy.
