ENA's new Monday-Tuesday drama New Recruit4: Sabotage returns to living rooms as a "military blockbuster" with upgraded scale, humor and combat power.
The ENA New Recruit4: Sabotage, which premieres on the 24th, released a Highlight video on the 17th that vividly captures the Shinwha unit's even more spectacular barracks life.
Returning as the fourth series, New Recruit4: Sabotage delivers welcome laughs to viewers with the changed dynamic between Corporal Park Min-seok (Kim Min-ho), who has been promoted but remains endearingly clumsy, and First Sergeant Choi Il-gu (Nam Tae-woo), who suddenly returns to the unit. In addition, the series depicts the newly refreshed daily life of the Shinwha unit, including Jeon Je-gyo (Kim Dong-jun), who has reborn from a global star into a perfect soldier, and administrative officer Seong Yoon-mo (Kim Hyun-gyu), who endures scolding while doing odd jobs.
New characters in particular raise the tension. The newly appointed battalion commander Byun Hyuk-jin (Lee Hyun-gyun), an ultra-elite graduate, and special recruit Kim Hyun-wook (Lee Won-jung), who hides a chilling twist behind his exceptional sense, spark curiosity about what kind of storm they will bring to the Shinwha unit.
As befits season 4, the scale of incidents and accidents has also grown. A range of sights unfolds, from intense encounters between Shinwha unit members and marines to unpredictable civilian aid scenes and high-intensity special training that tests limits. Actors Kim Young-ok, Jung I-rang and Kim Jun-bae will make special appearances at the civilian aid sites to add even more scene-stealing moments.
Directed by Min Jin-ki and Jo Je-wook, who opened the horizon for "military content," and reuniting writers Yoon Ki-young and Kim Dan, ENA's new Monday-Tuesday drama New Recruit4: Sabotage premieres at 10 p.m. on the 24th on ENA and will also be available on Jini TV and TVING.
