TWS (TWS) struck the stage at Japan's largest music festival, Summer Sonic 2026, proving explosive local popularity.
TWS (Shin Yu, Dohun, Youngjae, Hanjin, Jihun, Kyungmin) made a surprise appearance on the Summer Sonic 2026 stages held at Osaka Expo Commemorative Park on the 14th and at Chiba Makuhari Messe on the 16th. Despite it being their first participation, a combined total of about 16,000 attendees over the two days flocked to the venues, heating up the scene.
That day TWS opened with the title track of their second Japanese single, "SODA SODA," and their local debut song, "Nice to see you again." They then performed "hey! hey!," "HOT BLUE SHOES," "Get It Now," "OVERDRIVE" and others in succession, unleashing their characteristically refreshing and energetic performances.
Despite the heat, the members captivated the audience with flawless, unwavering vocal power and performances that blended rich band sound. In particular, they passionately sang the hits "The first meeting didn't go as planned" and "If I'm S, you become my N" in Japanese versions, and closed with a dazzling dance break of "Oh Mymy : 7s," drawing cheers.
Recently TWS set a personal record by selling more than 160,000 copies on the first day of release of their second Japanese single, and showed a fierce upward trend, becoming the first K-pop song to top the Billboard Japan Hot 100.
Having successfully finished the Summer Sonic stage, TWS will continue their Asia tour "24/7:FOR:YOU" Japanese performances in Fukuoka, Hyogo and Kanagawa from the 28th, intensifying their global rise.<
