The group LIGHTSUM will release a new song in Japan this September.
In episode 2 of the Japanese OTT platform ABEMA original documentary program Re:Idol, released on the 16th, LIGHTSUM (Sangah, Chowon, Nayoung, Hina, Juhyun, Yujeong) challenged a "kawaii" (カワイイ·cute) concept aiming to transform into localized Japanese idols.
Re:Idol is a documentary about LIGHTSUM's Japan debut, and its trailer recorded 2 million views online. LIGHTSUM watched the distinctive self-introduction lines of Japanese girl groups to determine each member's unique color and learned Japanese-style makeup. Also, centered on Japan-born member Hina, they practiced a trendy local dance and perfectly performed the choreography in 10 minutes.
After listening to the new song to be released in Japan, "どうして" (Doshite), LIGHTSUM checked the release date (Sept. 23) and said, "It seems we will be able to show more of our charm."
