Actor Lee Ju-yeon backed down after being threatened with 'exposé of dating history'.
The 16th episode aired on SBS was presented as the "Beat the heat with geulkkangseu" Race special, featuring Lee Ju-yeon, Jeong Eun-ji and Kim Ji-eun.
On that episode, the Running Man members joined Lee Ju-yeon, Jeong Eun-ji and Kim Ji-eun at Gwangmyeong Cave. Returning to Running Man after eight years, Ha Ha asked, "When Ju-yeon appeared before, wasn't there some kind of love line?" and Lee Ju-yeon firmly drew a line, saying, "There wasn't."
At the time, Lee Ju-yeon had shown chemistry with Yang Se-chan as the so-called "hyemgwan" pair. Ji Seok-jin asked about her dating status, "Are you in love these days?", and Lee Ju-yeon urged, "I'm not in love. In the past, work was more important than love. But about a year ago I started wanting to love. I want to meet a good man soon. Isn't there anyone around you?"
Then Ji Seok-jin said, "There is Se-chan. There's exactly one single person here," pushing the conversation, and Ji Ye-eun added, "He's really a good man." Then Ha Ha asked, "Ju-yeon, you used to be an idol, right?" and, nodding toward Yang Se-chan, said, "That's it," drawing laughter.
Yang Se-chan snapped back angrily, "That's it. People might think I only date idols. That's not true," and Lee Ju-yeon asked, "Are you a killer? Idol killer?"
Ji Seok-jin said, "Not a killer, but there are rumors she met an idol," and Lee Ju-yeon asked, "Oh, I heard that. Who is that?" then said, "I think I know," attracting attention.
Yu Jae-seok asked in surprise, "How do you know?", and Yang Se-chan threatened, "I also know someone you dated. Shall I tell? Who would have the bigger impact? I'm not going to stay quiet either," silencing Lee Ju-yeon.
Seeing this, Yu Jae-seok said, "Ju-yeon is shutting her mouth too," and Kim Jong Kook summed up the situation, "It's better in your imagination." Lee Ju-yeon offered a hand for reconciliation, "Let's be quiet. Let's all be quiet," and Yang Se-chan agreed, "Okay," adding to the laughter.
Meanwhile, after Lee Ju-yeon was first swept up in dating rumors with G-Dragon in 2017, various dating suspicions continued to arise until recently, but G-Dragon's side late last year said, "It is not true."<
