On the 19th, ahead of the first broadcast, Hwang Ji-eon, the writer of the drama "그래, 이혼하자," expressed deep satisfaction with the casting of actors Rhee Minjung and Kim Ji-seok and the character sync.
"그래, 이혼하자," which will premiere on the 19th (Wed) at 11 p.m. on KBS Drama and GTV, directed by Joo Seong-woo and written by Hwang Ji-eon, is a work that depicts the real divorce experience of a wedding dress shop owner couple who are utterly exhausted with married life and decide to bring it to an end.
Writer Hwang Ji-eon said the inspiration for writing came from "the journey of a married couple running a wedding shop whose married life heads toward catastrophe was fascinating," adding, "I focused on bringing out the details of the divorce litigation that proceeds regardless of the two people's emotions."
In particular, writer Hwang praised lead actors Rhee Minjung and Kim Ji-seok. "After casting was confirmed, the script work became much easier thanks to the sync," Hwang began, then said, "I was amazed by Rhee Minjung's acting, which skillfully moves between polar emotions, and Kim Ji-seok also delivered a perfect performance that was exactly the person I imagined and brought out the details," expressing confidence in the chemistry the two actors will show.
The writer cited "healing," "secrets," and "love-hate" as the key words running through the drama.
