Group ILLIT is spreading an emotional rock sound beyond Japan to Korea's pop music scene.
ILLIT today (17th) at 12:00 a.m. released the Korean audio version of the title track from their second Japanese single, I Got Your Back (Feat. JISOO, MOMOKA of HANA) (Korean Ver.).
This new song is a rock genre that harmonizes sleek guitar riffs with dynamic drum·bass sounds, highlighting ILLIT's distinctive bright and lively energy and refreshing vocals. The addictive point choreography and finger performance accompanying the message "I will always have your back" deliver a more three-dimensional charm.
In particular, following the original, J-pop girl group HANA's Jeesoo (JISOO) and Momoka (MOMOKA) once again joined as featured artists. The two participated directly in writing the rap parts, completing an extraordinary collaboration synergy that crosses borders.
The special video unveiled along with the audio also captivates the eyes and ears with kitschy graphic direction and visuals reminiscent of animation. ILLIT said, "Singing it in Korean felt like a different charm. I hope people enjoy the powerful rock sensibility along with the comforting lyrics that say 'you are not alone,'" conveying heartfelt remarks.
Earlier, the song was selected as the OST for the Japanese ABEMA original drama "The rules of vacation" and proved its hot popularity by reaching No. 2 on Billboard Japan's Hot 100. Continuing the momentum with the Korean version, ILLIT will kick off an encore tour starting with concerts in Hong Kong on the 22nd–23rd, then Incheon in October, and Chiba, Japan, in December, where all seats are selling out, accelerating their global rise.<
