Disney's film "Frozen" will return next November with a third installment.
On the 14th (local time), U.S. outlet Variety reported that Disney revealed details for "Frozen 3," scheduled for theatrical release on Nov. 24, 2027, for the first time at the D23 Expo held that day.
Set in the fictional kingdom of Arendelle, "Frozen 3" will feature ANNA as Anna (Kristen Bell), Elsa (Idina Menzel), Cristoff (Jonathan Groff), and Olaf (Josh Gad) among the original voice cast returning.
While the specific plot remains tightly under wraps, it was newly revealed that in this installment Anna and Cristoff will be married, a new villain will appear, and Olaf will get a girlfriend named "Samantha."
Earlier, Disney released concept art for "Frozen 3" worked on by Brittney Lee in Aug. 2024. The artwork drew attention by depicting Elsa on a white horse and ANNA on a brown stag.
Inspired by Hans Christian Andersen's "The Snow Queen," "Frozen" was released in 2013 and earned $1.3 billion worldwide and won two Academy Awards, including best animated feature. The 2019 sequel also brought in a massive $1.45 billion in revenue.
