Gugudan member Soye (real name Jang So-jin) is starting the second act of her life.
Gugudan member Soye said on the 16th on her channel, "On a trip to Canada, of all times, I was proposed to when I was the only one not having washed my face, in my tracksuit. Soye will marry lawyer Yoo Jong-min on that day. Having shared posts starting three days before the wedding expressing her excitement, Soye showed her anticipation and trembling for the second act of her life along with wedding photos taken in Vancouver.
Soye announced her marriage herself in June. She said, "I have made a promise to spend my life with the person who has made my life more meaningful. I found myself constantly smiling in moments with him. I also learned that I'm most natural and comfortable when we're together. This August we are preparing a new start under the name of a married couple," and added, "In every moment ahead, we will be the most reliable person for each other."
The photos released together showed Soye brightly smiling at or striking various poses with her future husband, lawyer Yoo Jong-min, as they looked at each other. In response to the marriage news, Kang Mina left a comment saying, "She must be crazy, she's so pretty," and Gugudan's first married woman Mimi cheered, saying, "Welcome married sushi. Congratulations on your marriage."
Soye debuted as a member of Gugudan in 2016. After the group disbanded in 2020, she has continued acting and working as an influencer.
