KBS 2TV weekend drama 'Love On The Menu' actor Ha Seok-jin learned that Ahn Heeyeon was unmarried and, thrown into turmoil, delivered a cold farewell.
On July 15 the KBS 2TV weekend drama 'Love On The Menu' episode 7 depicted Han Gyurim (played by Ahn Heeyeon) revealing hidden backstories and Kim Mujin (played by Ha Seok-jin) finally confronting the concealed truth. The broadcast rating that day was 14.6% nationwide, continuing its run as the top weekend drama on Saturday.
In that broadcast, Kim Mujin was taken aback when Hangeol (played by Younha) bluntly asked, "Did you meet my mother eight years ago? Do you still like her?" Park Jung-woo (played by Min Jin-woong) also learned that Han Gyurim was unmarried and began to suspect that Hangeol might be Kim Mujin's biological child.
Kim Mujin considered a paternity test when he saw Hangeol's straw, but after Park Jung-woo asked, "What will you do if he's your son?" he bitterly tried to let it go, saying, "Let's stop here."
But as if by fate, while Kim Mujin was seeing Hangeol off he reunited after eight years with Han Gyurim's twin siblings Han Gyuseo (played by Park Soo-oh) and Han Gyumin (played by Kim Min-seo). In conversations with the two, Kim Mujin learned the shocking fact that Han Gyurim had never been married and had raised Hangeol alone.
Frozen by the unexpected truth, Kim Mujin immediately went to find Han Gyurim as she was leaving work. He coldly said goodbye, "I'm very sorry for everything. While we are alive, let's never meet," then turned away. With Han Gyurim's wavering gaze, the drama's immersion reached its peak.
Immediately after the broadcast, viewers reacted strongly with comments such as "Seeing Mujin and Gyurim together triggers a dopamine explosion," "Ha Seok-jin's acting skill is insane," and "The pacing is brisk and satisfying."
KBS 2TV weekend drama 'Love On The Menu' episode 8 will air today (16th) at 8 p.m.
