Red Velvet Seulgi talked about an incident she experienced while on a solo trip to Japan.

Seulgi said she had a romantic notion about traveling alone and that she had traveled to Japan herself. In particular, Seulgi said, "It was my fantasy to talk with a bartender," adding, "Because I can speak a little Japanese, I planned to go to Japan."
While she was actually talking with a Japanese bartender, some Koreans came in, and the bartender, considerate of Seulgi, had the fellow Koreans sit next to her. Seulgi said, "I felt a bit awkward drinking alone here, but the Japanese bartender thought they were fellow Koreans and sat them next to me. I only greeted them and didn't speak, but the people next to me asked, 'Could you take a picture for us?'" putting her in an awkward situation. In the end, she politely refused, saying, "I'm here traveling alone. I'm sorry."
The twist was that what they had requested was not a "photo with Seulgi" but that she take their group photo. Watching them take a selfie, Seulgi said, "I asked, 'Shall I take it for you?' and then took it for them," feeling embarrassed. Irene said, "They couldn't have imagined Seulgi would be here," and Seulgi begged, "Please, I hope they didn't recognize me." However, Irene said, "Aren't you going to leave a comment?" and the actual people involved in the story left comments, which became a hot topic.
