The movie 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' (Spider-Man 4) surpassed 7 million viewers in the shortest time this year.
According to the Korean Film Council (KOFIC) integrated box office as of 12 a.m. on the 16th, Spider-Man: Brand New Day exceeded the 7 million viewer mark on the 19th day since its release.
That pace was a full five days faster than The King's Warden, the top-grossing film of 2026, which reached 7 million in 24 days, setting a new record for the shortest time among 2026 releases. Even entering its third weekend since release, it has continued to show unstoppable box office power.
In particular, it has closed in on the final scores of the series' highest-grossing films, Spider-Man: Homecoming (7.25 million) and Spider-Man: No Way Home (7.55 million), bringing the possibility of breaking the franchise's all-time box office record into view.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is an action blockbuster in which Peter Parker (played by Tom Holland), forgotten by everyone after the No Way Home incident, faces a mysterious enemy who remembers his identity and powers that have become uncontrollable due to DNA mutation, and fights to protect the people dear to him.
Directed by Destin Cretton, it stars Tom Holland, Zendaya Coleman, Sadie Sink, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal and Mark Ruffalo.
