She added, "Now, officially recognized by the country as a cancer patient. I'm going to the hospital next week to see what kind of treatment I will receive.. I will take care of my physical strength in the meantime. I will laugh more and live with a positive mindset to gain weight. Thank you every day," revealing that she had been diagnosed with cancer, which drew attention.
Choi Sun-young first mentioned her fighting the disease in June. At the time she posted, "Strolling around Hannam-dong to soothe my troubled mind. The worst always seems to be avoided by magic, maybe it worked this time too.. I'm a coward..... waiting with a positive mind!!!!! For now, I like the hospital haha it has a vibe lol" She also told an acquaintance who asked for details, "I am about to have surgery."
Later, on the 14th of last month she announced she had been admitted, saying, "I am saying prayers I don't usually say. Please comfort my trembling and fearful heart.... #surgery the day before," and on the 26th she said, "I was discharged safely and am recovering now. Thanks to my daughters and husband who stayed by my side every day, and to acquaintances who prayed for my recovery," informing that she was recovering after surgery.
