Actor Bae Jeong-nam displayed the taegeukgi to commemorate Liberation Day.
Bae Jeong-nam posted a short video on his personal channel on the 15th with the captions "the 81st anniversary of liberation day" and "taegeukgi from the 1950s I diligently collected."
The released video contains a taegeukgi reported to have been collected by Bae Jeong-nam himself.
The faded and torn taegeukgi, here and there, moved viewers by making them feel Korea's history intact.
Earlier Bae Jeong-nam said in an interview that he began collecting taegeukgi while appearing in the film "Hero." At the time Bae Jeong-nam explained, "I recently acquired 50 taegeukgi from the 1950s. They are really beautiful. The influence of 'Hero' is large."
