Swings, who was known to the public as a rapper, is making his acting debut through the "Tazza" series.
Jo Woo-jin, Yoon Kyung-ho, Kim Min-ho, Lim Se-mi and Moon ji-hoon fill the table with different hands in Tazza: The Song of Beelzebub (director Choi Guk-hee, distributed by CJ ENM, produced by Psydus).
The final installment of the Tazza series, Tazza: The Song of Beelzebub, is a crime film in which Jang Tae-young (Byun Yo-Han), who thought he had the world with his online Big Bet business, and his longtime friend with the same name, Park Tae-young (Roh Jae Won), who took everything from him, meet again on the global gambling stage and wage a single match of vengeance.
Tazza: The Song of Beelzebub released stills of the five characters who will fill the finale of the "Tazza" series. Gwak Dong-wook (Jo Woo-jin), Jo Jung-hwan (Yoon Kyung-ho), Hama (Kim Min-ho), Jang Tae-hee (Lim Se-mi) and Abraham (Moon ji-hoon) each influence the duel between Jang Tae-young and Park Tae-young from different positions and change the tone of the drama. The released stills captured the faces of five characters, each carrying a different atmosphere.
Jo Woo-jin plays Gwak Dong-wook, the life mentor who teaches Jang Tae-young poker. Once a renowned name, Gwak Dong-wook, who had been drifting through small games in Vietnam, rediscovers his gambler temperament when Jang Tae-young suddenly appears. Jo Woo-jin, who was the box office star last Chuseok with Boss, is set to meet audiences for a second consecutive Chuseok this year with Tazza: The Song of Beelzebub. Yoon Kyung-ho, this year's rising star, plays Jo Jung-hwan, a hitman operating out of Vietnam. Although he is a merciless figure, he harbors an uncommon curiosity toward Jang Tae-young, and Jo Jung-hwan's choices later become a crucial key that completely changes the lives of Jang Tae-young and Park Tae-young.
Kim Min-ho plays Hama, the friend who has watched the two Tae-youngs the longest. Hama, who used to set up games even in the classroom during their school days, worked at the company the two founded and witnessed the pinnacle of their success from up close. Leading the story's early stages with cheerful energy, his shift to reclaim his own hand between the two friends becomes the first point to sense the fracture in their relationship. Kim Min-ho, who became the face of the New Recruit series through the role of Private Park Min-seok up to season 3, captures the character's temperature with unexaggerated pacing and life-rooted detail.
Lim Se-mi plays Jang Tae-hee, the sister who acted as a protective fence for the two Tae-youngs. Having lost their parents early and raising her younger brother alone, Jang Tae-hee accepts Park Tae-young, who had nowhere to go, into the family without hesitation and creates the three's shared time. Lim Se-mi, who has persuaded audiences through performances in Hijacking and The Worst of Evil without explaining a character's backstory, will portray the affectionate sister.
Moon ji-hoon takes on the role of Abraham, a ruthless outlaw who feels no fear, marking his first acting challenge. Abraham, who carries out orders without judgment or emotion, is more frightening because he does not think for himself and more brutal because he does not stop. Anticipation is growing for the presence Moon ji-hoon, a rapper representing the Korean hip-hop scene known for his unbridled lyrics and overwhelming stage command, will display on screen.
The final installment of Heo Yeong's original manhwa series, Tazza: The Song of Beelzebub, completed by the ensemble of Team Tazza packed with vigor and passion, opens this Chuseok.
Meanwhile, when Netflix's global hit Squid Game Season 2 was released in December 2024, director Hwang Dong-hyuk said in an interview that he had considered Swings for the role of rapper Thanos, drawing significant attention. At that time, Swings had no acting experience, and after deliberation, TOP of Big Bang was cast in the role. Coincidentally, Swings began studying acting in earnest around that time and was cast in Tazza as well, drawing interest in what he will show in this film.
