This is a review article written after watching the video.
A former member of the group NCT, Mark, shared a recent update.
On the 14th, a video titled "The story so far and dreams for the future" was posted on the YouTube channel Mark Lee, operated by Mark.
That day, Mark recalled the handwritten letter announcing the end of his exclusive contract with SN Entertainment last April. He opened by saying, "I thought putting my sincerity into it was the best I could do,"
After that he said, "Thanks to you, the 10 years were happy and I tried hardest to write that I am here now," revealing the letter and noting he felt some pressure from the large reaction.
Mark recalled, "I think I didn't even go home. My mother was actually very scared," and said, "Fans were saying things like, 'Is he retiring?', 'Is he going to do busking?', 'Is he going to dive?', 'Is he going to live as a civilian now?'"
He added, "It was then that I began to learn a little more about the fans' positions. I'm not retiring, but fans don't know that. So I felt certain that 'I should come out with music first,'" which raised expectations.
Afterward, Mark said, "Even leaving behind safety and money, feeling that there is something I want to accomplish felt precious. I have a desire to do everything well, but I wondered what the highest standard is, what my best something that can be left in this world is, what the best music is," and revealed he left the team because he wanted to immerse himself in the dream he discovered at the end with the utmost focus.
Meanwhile, after his exclusive contract with SM Entertainment ended and he stopped activities with the groups NCT 127 and NCT Dream, Mark officially launched the creative company Upper Room and expressed his ambition to further develop his unique creative world in a more three-dimensional way.
