"Running Man" will feature Lee Joo-yeon and Jeong Eun-ji in a dance battle for the pride of 2nd-generation girl groups.
On the 16th episode of SBS "Running Man", a unique summer getaway that makes you forget the heat and a fiery dance battle between Lee Joo-yeon and Jeong Eun-ji will be revealed.
In a recent recording, the members enjoyed an unusual summer getaway to escape the heat, then entered the "heatwave scraped-vacation" Race, where incurred expense were split and paid in a "loyalty game" style. The mission played for an exemption from payment that day was "diva in the dark," in which contestants, blindfolded, had to dance and arrive at a designated area.
Because bonus points were awarded according to dance skills, fierce competition broke out from the start, and Lee Joo-yeon and Jeong Eun-ji caught attention as they returned to their After School and Apink days, respectively, and staged a prideful dance battle.
The one-on-one match between the two former members representing the 2nd generation created tense suspense on site. But Lee Joo-yeon drew the ire of her teammates by focusing on holding the center position and demonstrating her long-hidden "center instinct" rather than winning the mission.
Contrary to the high expectations, the somewhat clumsy dance moves prompted members to jeer, saying, "What is this?" Lee Joo-yeon unexpectedly exploded with variety talent, even showing bumbling charm by failing to understand the rules properly from the start.
A tailored mission for Jeong Eun-ji, who is from Busan, was also presented. In the "Don't you know this?" mission to guess the meaning of Busan dialect phrases, members had to listen to dialects presented by Jeong Eun-ji and guess their meanings.
When unfamiliar sentences such as "gagan aga gaga?" and "ni waylae aebyanno" appeared, members elicited laughter by offering various absurd interpretations. In particular, Haha, who has long claimed to be a "Busan advocate," showed more confidence than anyone but drew the ire of members by giving consecutive wrong answers.
After many twists and turns, Haha, who answered correctly, displayed awkward dialect, saying, "I'm not the Haeundae promotional ambassador," and once again showed confidence. Seizing the moment, Jeong Eun-ji replied in proper Busan dialect, "I'll be waiting for the Haeundae promotional ambassador contact," and Haha immediately shot a wary glance, turning the set into a sea of laughter.
