Pop star the late Michael Jackson's daughter Paris Jackson responded cheerfully to a malicious comment that criticized her tattoo.
Paris Jackson recently left a witty reply to a netizen who posted a malicious comment about her tattoo on a post E! News published on Instagram.
The released photo showed a glimpse of Paris Jackson's colorful chakra tattoo on her chest peeking through a white shirt. Seeing this, a netizen criticized, "She is beautiful but looks dirty and her appearance is ruined because of that tattoo."
In response, Paris Jackson shot back, "Oh dear, what on earth should I do. (I'd be dirty even without the tattoo)," confronting the malicious comment head-on. She turned the criticism of her tattoo into a cheerful joke.
Other fans also rallied in support of Paris Jackson. One fan cheered, "The tattoo is really cool and you are beautiful just as you are," and another fan rebuked the malicious commenter, "That is really a superficial comment. Grow up."
Paris Jackson has long shown a special affection for tattoos. She is known to have more than 80 tattoos to date, many of which carry meanings honoring her father Michael Jackson.
For Michael Jackson, who died in 2009 at the age of 50, Paris Jackson engraved the cover of his album 'Dangerous' on her forearm, had "Queen of my Heart" in her father's handwriting on her wrist, and had the nickname used by loved ones, "Applehead," on her foot.
Paris Jackson knew from a young age that tattoos drew mixed reactions. In 2016 she said on her social media, "Some people like them and some people really hate them," and added, "I especially like art that has meaning for me."
For her, tattoos are more than simple decoration; they are meaningful traces that hold her life and memories. Referring to her inner self and difficult times in the past and calling tattoos "marks of healing," she also said she covered memories of wounds and self-loathing with tattoos that embody love, creativity and depth.
She also has a variety of designs, including a rose tattoo she inked with close friend KARA and a neck tattoo with a phrase from J.R.R. Tolkien's novel 'The Lord of the Rings' written in Elvish. The phrase is known to mean "from the shadow a light will arise."
Paris Jackson usually shows her tattoos as they are in her modeling work. However, at the 2024 Grammy Awards red carpet she appeared with heavy makeup covering her tattoos, which also drew attention.
Paris Jackson is active as a singer-songwriter and model, and will release her second album, 'Happiest Day of My Life,' on the 21st.
