ATEEZ member Hongjoong will continue his schedule without rest despite a fractured rib.
On the 13th, agency KQ Entertainment said on its official website, "Hongjoong recently visited a hospital for coughing symptoms and was diagnosed with a fractured rib by medical specialists, who advised that he needs sufficient rest."
The agency recommended rest, but Hongjoong expressed his desire to participate in his promised schedule. The agency explained, "Respecting Hongjoong's own wish to take part in already scheduled commitments, we plan to proceed within a range that does not place undue strain on him."
It added, "Please understand that at upcoming performances, including the 'STANBUL FESTIVALI' scheduled for the 14th, the scope of Hongjoong's stage participation may be adjusted depending on his condition."
The agency also promised, "We will continuously monitor Hongjoong's condition and prioritize the artist's health and safety by flexibly adjusting future schedules so he can focus on sufficient rest and recovery."
Meanwhile, ATEEZ, of which Hongjoong is a member, is enjoying major popularity with the title track "BAD" from their mini album No. 14, "GOLDEN HOUR : Part.5," released on June 26.
