'Kim Ho-jung's agency' Art M&C underwent a tax audit, but no signs of tax evasion were found.
On the 13th, the agency Art M&C told OSEN, "We underwent a tax audit and will pay the additionally notified tax amount."
Earlier, one outlet reported that Kim Ho-jung's agency underwent an intensive tax audit in July.
According to the report, the National Tax Service adjusted Art M&C's reported 2022 corporate tax taxable income from 4,817,900,000 won to 4,840,710,000 won after the investigation, finding a difference of about 22,710,000 won. The resulting calculated tax also changed, and including 4,540,000 won in corporate tax and additional tax, the company must pay about 6,260,000 won in additional corporate tax.
Although it was an intensive National Tax Service audit, the industry interprets it as far from large-scale income omission or tax evasion. The total amount to be notified as a result of the tax audit is about 0.066% of the corporate tax calculated by the company in its original filing, and the increase in the taxable base corresponds to about 0.47% of the originally reported amount.
Art M&C also said it would promptly pay the tax once the National Tax Service issues the notice. It has no intention of separately appealing or filing an objection to the tax audit.
Meanwhile, Kim Ho-jung recently posted on his official fan cafe that he intends to continue the remaining contract with his current agency, Art M&C.
