BTS members V and Jungkook asked some fans who came to the hotel gym in the early morning during their world tour to respect their privacy.
V and Jungkook, after finishing their show in Baltimore, U.S., on the 11th (local time), went live on Weverse and mentioned what they recently experienced at a hotel.
The two said they went to the hotel gym around 2 a.m. to work out and ran into about 20 fans. They had never seen that many people exercising at the same time during a tour and assumed the fans had come to see them.
V said he was fine if fans were using the gym to actually work out, but he expressed discomfort with coming there just to see them.
Jungkook also asked fans to focus on their own workouts rather than paying attention to others. He said, "Don't just stare—pick up a dumbbell or look at the equipment, and focus on your own form and workout," adding, "Isn't this our privacy?"
V also said that a fan appeared in a video filmed at the gym at the time. He said a fan wearing green was captured in the video and warned that he could release the footage if needed. The fan reportedly approached V directly and spoke to him after Jungkook left the gym.
V had previously asked some fans who came to the front of the hotel during the tour to refrain as well. At the time, he thanked fans for their support but pleaded for privacy, saying that coming to the lodging could affect the shows and their rest.
BTS is currently carrying out the North American leg of its ARIRANG world tour. They are set to perform at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, U.S., on the 15th–16th, and at Rogers Stadium in Toronto, Canada, on the 22nd–23rd.
