All-rounder musician Sumin (SUMIN) returns to listeners with her second full-length album after a remarkable eight years.
Sumin (SUMIN) will release her second full-length album dinnermode at 6 p.m. today (13th) on various domestic and international music sites.
This dinnermode is the full-length album she is presenting for the first time in eight years since she released her first full-length album in 2018, and she produced all tracks herself, deeply infusing the album with her uniquely distinctive musical color that she has built up heavily over a long time.
Sumin is a leading producer and artist recognized for her musicality in Korea's genre music scene. She has solidified her position by participating not only in her own works but also in songs by top K-pop artists such as IU, KiiiKiii, and Red Velvet. Having accumulated experience over the past eight years through solo activities and numerous collaborations, this dinnermode is expected to be the definitive work in which listeners can fully enjoy the musical essence of artist Sumin.
The nine-track album captures the subtle shift in temperature that occurs when the day is ending but it is too early to sleep, from outside to inside, from together to alone. Rather than grand events, it delicately portrays, through Sumin's perspective, the everyday moments in between—love and boredom, jokes and silence.
In particular, Sumin took part not only in producing all tracks but also deeply in the album's visual content—images, videos and more—perfectly aligning her sensibility and taste from music to visuals. She previously stoked excitement for the comeback by sequentially releasing stylish cover images via her official social media channels.
