The group NMIXX solidified its position as a global sensation by successfully concluding the Asian leg of its first world tour with the Tokyo shows.
NMIXX began on June 13 in Bangkok and held their first world tour, "EPISODE 1: ZERO FRONTIER" in five Asian cities — Bangkok, Singapore, Kaohsiung, Hong Kong and Tokyo — concluding on Aug. 8 and 9. In particular, tickets in Kaohsiung and Hong Kong sold out at record speed, prompting the addition of one extra performance in each city and drawing an explosive response from local fans.
At the Aug. 8 and 9 finale of the Asia tour at Keio Arena in Tokyo, NMIXX delivered lively live performances totaling 28 songs to vibrant band sounds, ranging from their debut song "O.O" to "Phoenix," "Run for Roses" and "Soñar (Breaker)." The audience responded with enthusiastic cheers and singalongs, heightening the atmosphere.
The members engaged warmly in fluent local languages. Bae (BAE) said she learned from NiziU member Rima and covered a song by the popular local singer M!LK, drawing strong applause. In addition, the sweet vocals that stood out in "Shape of Love," the high-difficulty pair choreography showcased in "High Horse," and the varied performances enhanced by intense laser effects captivated the audience's eyes and ears.
At the Tokyo shows, they surprised fans by announcing their official Japanese debut in December. After debuting the Japanese version of "Blue Valentine," NMIXX said with excitement, "We will release the Japan debut best album 'N=MIXX' on Dec. 9 and finally debut. The album will include songs sung in Japanese, so please look forward to it."
NMIXX's first world tour, which opened last Nov. at Incheon Inspire Arena, spanned Europe, North America and Asia over about nine months, covering 17 cities and a total of 21 performances. Having captivated the global fandom with their further improved skills, they will hold their debut showcase "NMIXX JAPAN DEBUT SHOWCASE "N=MIXX"" in Tokyo on Nov. 7–8 and in Nagoya on Dec. 12–13 to meet local fans in earnest.
