The group TWS added another team record.
PLEDIS Entertainment Co. said on Aug. 12 that TWS's second Japanese single, "SODA SODA," sold 225,853 copies in its first week and ranked No. 2 on the Oricon weekly singles chart (Aug. 17).
With this, TWS wrote its best-ever first-week sales record in Japan. The previous best was mini album 5, "NO TRAGEDY," which upon its May release took two crowns on the Oricon weekly chart.
They proved TWS's upward momentum by consecutively setting a personal best with "SODA SODA."
In addition, TWS's "SODA SODA" showed its influence by ranking No. 2 on Billboard Japan's latest "Top Single Sales" (released Aug. 12).
Proving their rising popularity in Japan, TWS will take the stage at the country's biggest music festival, "Summer Sonic 2026," on the 14th and 16th.
