'Let's Live Together' Hwang Shin-hye revealed the reason she developed an obsession with health.
Hwang Shin-hye mentioned her health obsession on the KBS 1TV variety program Hwang Shin-hye's Let's Live Together, which aired on the afternoon of the 12th.
Hwang Shin-hye referred to time with her mother and family, saying "I try to go even if I have to make time. I don't know when my mother might get sick again, and there are many variables, so I try to make (time) and do it. I think there is nothing that heals as much as travel," she said.
She then spoke about a recent injury, saying "One side of my hip just sank in and it was so scary. This is why a disease more frightening than other illnesses is called sarcopenia. If you have sarcopenia, you fall and it's over," she added.
In particular, Hwang Shin-hye attracted attention by revealing her health obsession. Hwang Shin-hye said, "I had a health check every year. I realized I had an obsession," and added, "I thought about it and after my younger brother had a traffic accident, I unknowingly developed trauma. Those things all have an effect. It's been quite a long time. It's been like that since then."
She continued, "And my father had heart disease, so he had surgery twice that involved opening his chest to remove and connect tendons, and he had a leg amputated because of diabetes. Diabetes prevents wounds from healing. So it's a frightening disease. Seeing these things led me to think, 'I have to be healthy. I can't get sick' a lot," she revealed about her family history.
Hwang Shin-hye also cited her daughter as one reason she tries to take care of her health. Hwang Shin-hye candidly said, "After giving birth to my daughter, for the first time I thought I wanted to live a long life. Because of her I thought I should live healthily and for a long time, so since then I exercise harder. Children really teach and raise you. I made more effort."
