"On the Spot" is a well-made performance series that steps outside standardized stages like studios or sets to naturally showcase dance in everyday spaces. In the released performance video, Jiyu, Isol, Sui, Haeum and Kiya etched KiiiKiii's distinctive retro sensibility and stage presence vividly through performances that captured the group's free and bold energy.
With styling that emphasized bold colors and retro silhouettes, which enhanced the Y2K retro vibe of "Pop Off Pop Off," KiiiKiii captured their free-spirited charm with lively expressions and naturally flowing movements. On a stage that utilized various spots throughout an indoor sports theme park, their free movement and playful interactions added a cheerful teamwork and vitality unique to KiiiKiii that can't be seen on conventional stages, completing a performance "only KiiiKiii can do."
Also, the signature move that became a hot topic after being revealed through a TikTok challenge — a vigorous kick to a jaunty rhythm — intuitively showcased the free and bouncy atmosphere and delivered strong addictiveness. Fans poured out enthusiastic reactions to the performance video, which combined the five members' personalities and cheerful teamwork, raising expectations for KiiiKiii's activities.
Regarding this, Kakao Entertainment producer Seok-Hun Jeong, who directed "On the Spot," said, "We focused on conveying the free and refreshing energy of 'Pop Off Pop Off' with a sense of space," and noted, "We directed it so that KiiiKiii's bright, bold atmosphere and the members' teamwork could stand out as much as possible."
