Fighter and broadcaster Choo Sung Hoon declared his final challenge.
On the 11th, a video titled "At 51, Choo Sung Hoon, what I want to say one last time" was posted on the YouTube channel 'Choo Sung Hoon'. That day Choo Sung Hoon told subscribers he would make one last challenge.
He said "Last year, thankfully, many people came to love the YouTube channel. It was a lot of fun and the results were good," and "But the truth is, I always had 1% of the feeling 'I am a fighter' everywhere" he confessed.
Choo Sung Hoon continued, "I am a fighter, so whether I just retire or not, many people might not know if I'm a fighter or a YouTuber," and "When I looked at myself from the outside, there was nothing cool about me. That's the reason for the final challenge," he said.
The production team asked about his family's reaction. Choo Sung Hoon mentioned his wife Yano Shiho's reaction and answered, "I told her once and she said 'I'm scared.' That was the one word," and said his daughter also said she was worried about her father.
Later Choo Sung Hoon said, "If I fight, I will be 51 years old by Korea's age," and added, "When I see fathers over 50 running at their children's sports day, aren't they basically grandfathers? I'm most eager to see how much I can move," he said. He went on to emphasize, "When I look at myself I don't seem cool, so I want to be cool. As a man."
Meanwhile, Choo Sung Hoon will hold his farewell fight at 'Black Combat 17', the 17th numbered event, to be held at Seoul Gocheok Sky Dome on Nov. 21. Choo Sung Hoon's opponent for the retirement fight has not yet been announced.<
