The group ILLIT has received gold disc certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan.
On the 10th, according to the Recording Industry Association of Japan, ILLIT (Yuna, Minju, Momoka, Wonhee, Iroha)'s second Japanese single I Got Your Back surpassed 100,000 copies shipped as of July, earning the gold disc "gold" certification.
This was an achievement reached with just three days of sales after the album's release on the 29th of last month, and the single showed surprising staying power by hitting No. 1 on Japan's Oricon daily single ranking (Aug. 8) in its second week after release.
A representative said the group's performance was quick to gain attention and spread by word of mouth after the title track I Got Your Back (Feat. JISOO, MOMOKA of HANA) stage was highlighted through local music broadcasts and performances.
I Got Your Back tells the story of girls who grow through repeated struggles, delivering deep empathy and comfort to their peers. The single includes the title track of the same name and the Korean version of the song, as well as Sunday Morning, the opening theme for the TV anime "The princess "Torture" time" season 2, which was released last January.
ILLIT, which has already shown a distinct presence in the Recording Industry Association of Japan's music streaming category, will meet global fans on the KCON LA 2026 stage at the Los Angeles Convention Center and Crypto.com Arena on the 15th.
Meanwhile, ILLIT debuted in 2024 with the mini album SUPER REAL ME. They have received much love with hit songs such as Magnetic, Cherish (My Love), Borrowed Cat, Almond Chocolate, NOT CUTE ANYMORE and It's Me.
