Singer and actor Cha Eun-woo, who is due to be discharged in January next year, is reviewing his next project.
On the 11th, Cha Eun-woo's agency Fantagio told OSEN, "'Seorabeol Life' is one of the projects under consideration."
'Seorabeol Life' is a romance centered on cooking, directed by Jang Tae-yu, director of 'Bon Appétit, Your Majesty', which recorded a peak rating of 17.1% last year. It was also reported to share a universe with 'Bon Appétit, Your Majesty', raising expectations.
If Cha Eun-woo appears in the project, it will be his first comeback since the Netflix 'The Wonder Fools' released after his enlistment.
However, some have expressed concern over Cha Eun-woo's early return. In January, Cha Eun-woo received a notice from the National Tax Service demanding additional income tax exceeding 20 billion won, raising allegations of tax evasion, and afterward he said, "I respect the National Tax Service's procedures and results. To prevent further confusion, I have paid all related taxes."
The tax Cha Eun-woo paid is reported to be about 13 billion won. However, earlier this month he filed an appeal with the Tax Tribunal challenging the National Tax Service's assessment. His agency also said, "Cha Eun-woo filed a tax tribunal appeal according to the procedures prescribed by law to receive a legal determination."
Meanwhile, Cha Eun-woo enlisted in the army band in July last year to fulfill his military service and will be discharged on Jan. 27, 2027.
