The group IVE has received platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan.
Starship Entertainment said on the 11th that IVE's fourth Japanese album, "Lucid Dream (LUCID DREAM)", received platinum certification, awarded to works that have shipped more than 250,000 copies.
IVE's "Lucid Dream" is the group's fourth Japanese album, released in May, and immediately after release it ranked No. 1 on the Oricon weekly combined album ranking. In particular, it recorded first-week sales of 120,000 copies, setting the record at the time for the highest figure by an international female artist.
In addition, IVE also proved their strong popularity and solid album sales locally by taking No. 1 on Billboard Japan's "weekly album sales" chart.
IVE continues to maintain a distinctive presence as they achieve strong results in Japan as well.
