A former CNBLUE member, Lee Jong-hyun, broke his long silence and personally revealed his current status.
Lee Jong-hyun posted on his social media on the 10th, saying, "I left this account empty for 8 years," and "the account was hacked, and I have requested that the username and bio be edited."
He continued, "There were several years when I turned my back on the world. After that, I learned work to try to live," recounting his life after leaving the entertainment industry. He said, "It's small, but for 8 years I've been enjoying and professionally working in beauty marketing."
The photos he shared together showed a recent look that was noticeably different from when he was active as a singer. In a comfortable T-shirt, with a more built-up physique, he posed with a V sign toward the camera, and he also showed himself sitting in front of a laptop concentrating on work.
Lee Jong-hyun said, "This is my day recently. I have meetings, unpack products, and worry about how to do better," explaining the ordinary daily life of a worker, and added, "I leave in the morning and come home at night." He went on, "I've learned how difficult it is to live by working normally. I think all of you are amazing," and said, "From now on, as a person named Lee Jong-hyun, I will live communicating with more people."
In 2019, Lee Jong-hyun became embroiled in controversy when it was revealed that he participated in the so-called 'Jeong Joon-young group chat' and had inappropriate conversations. At the time, he said, "I deeply repent my wrongdoing and will accept the criticism and reproach of many people," and voluntarily withdrew from CNBLUE.
Afterwards, Lee Jong-hyun, who had effectively suspended his entertainment industry activities, has drawn renewed attention by directly revealing his current appearance and working life.
