Members Mingyu, Seungkwan and Dino of the group SEVENTEEN will fulfill their defense duties.
SEVENTEEN's agency PLEDIS Entertainment Co. disclosed the enlistment schedules for Mingyu, Seungkwan and Dino on the official Weverse on the 10th.
The agency said "Seungkwan and Dino are scheduled to enlist as army military band soldiers on Oct. 26," and added, "they will participate in all scheduled official activities without disruption until enlistment, and because the training center entrance ceremony on the day of enlistment is an event attended by many service members and family, we ask that on-site visits be refrained from."
It added, "Mingyu will begin fulfilling his military service obligations from Sept. 10, and similarly will participate in all scheduled official activities without disruption until service begins. There will be no separate official events on the start date of service or on the future training center entrance day, and we ask that visits to alternative service workplaces be refrained from."
The agency also said, "After the three members begin their service, they will not be able to participate in SEVENTEEN's schedule, but they will continue to meet CARATs through various content prepared in advance," and added, "we ask CARATs for your unwavering love and support so that Mingyu, Seungkwan and Dino can faithfully fulfill their military duties and return in even healthier condition. We will also spare no effort in continuing to support the artists."
SEVENTEEN has begun fulfilling defense duties starting with Jeonghan in 2024, and last year Hoshi and Woozi enlisted for active duty. Wonwoo also began alternative service last year, and Dokyeom will enlist as an active-duty soldier on Sept. 8. Vernon will also begin alternative service on Aug. 20.
