TWICE member Jeongyeon expressed her feelings about leaving JYP Entertainment.
Jeongyeon wrote on her social media on the 10th, "I am leaving JYP, which has been with me for a long time since my teenage years, and now I am going to try a new start in a new place."
Jeongyeon said, "One thing I really want to tell ONCE is that although I have moved my home and am starting a new challenge, TWICE, which is the biggest center inside me, will continue to be protected unchanged as it is now, and being on stage as a member of TWICE in front of ONCE will always be the first priority," and added, "I will prepare step by step with sincerity for the steps I took as Jeongyeon of TWICE who you loved, and also for the new challenges of Yoo Jeong-yeon that I will meet in the future."
She added, "We still have a lot of time to make together in the future, so I will work hard to fill those precious times more beautifully."
Meanwhile, Jeongyeon signed an exclusive contract with Baro Entertainment, which represents her older sister Gong Seung-yeon. Baro Entertainment said, "Based on Yoo Jeong-yeon's long-built global presence as an artist, we will be a strong partner that spares no support in various ways so that her new challenge as an actor, as well as group activities, can proceed smoothly."
