Actor Lee Minho expressed his feelings about working alongside veteran seniors.
On the morning of the 10th at CGV Yongsan iPark Mall in Guro-gu, Seoul, a production briefing was held for the film 'Assassin(s)' (director Heo Jin-ho). Actors Yoo Hai Jin, Park Hae-il, Lee Minho and director Heo Jin-ho attended the production briefing and talked.
The film 'Assassin(s)', set to open this Chuseok, is a story that tracks the suspicions and behind-the-scenes of the attempted assassination of the first lady that shocked Korea on Aug. 15, 1974.
In the film, Lee Minho plays the role of Yeong-il, a rookie reporter for the Dongseong Ilbo who went out to cover the Liberation Day commemorative ceremony. That day Lee Minho said, I'm not at an age where I can easily play the youngest anywhere, but I was able to be the youngest while working with the seniors, he began, drawing laughter.
He said, I acted thinking Yeong-il should feel like a lively fish with very dynamic energy. I thought he was someone who grew up straight in a good environment but longs for something that doesn't fill a corner of his heart. I don't know what that is, but I thought of him as someone who, through the job of being a reporter and meeting Jaehwan (played by Park Hae-il), gains social experience, grows, believes in the value of truth and dreams of freedom, and I acted that way.
Regarding the still cut showing the scene where he calls Jaehwan in the work, he said, This photo was the first day of shooting. On the first day of shooting, I heard that (Park Hae-il) senior had been there since the morning, and I felt very pressured from makeup onward. I felt even more nervous, he said, and When the first take started and I heard senior's voice, I became completely immersed — I had that experience. So I am very grateful. I was squatting in front of him saying the lines for the phone call and it was very moving, he added, expressing his gratitude toward Park Hae-il, who shared his first shooting scene.
