The final episode of KBS 2TV weekend miniseries The Husband (directed by Kim Junghyun, Kim Mintae / written by Jung Jaeha / produced by Red Nine Pictures, KBS Media), which aired on the 9th, recorded a peak minute rating of 11.2% and a nationwide rating of 8.8% according to Nielsen Korea, breaking its own highest ratings. It ranked first among dramas in the same time slot and set the highest record in KBS weekend miniseries history.
In this episode, all truths between Kang Tae-Ju (played by Namkoong Min), Noh Man-hee (played by Kim Dae-myeung) and Choi Chi-woong (played by Woo Ji-hyun) were revealed. Despite injury and crisis, Kang Tae-Ju fulfilled his duty as a doctor by successfully performing an emergency operation on Noh Man-hee's wife, Kim Kyung-ae (played by Lee Sang Hee), and miraculously rescued Go Se-yoon (played by Lee Sul) who had fallen into danger. Noh Man-hee was arrested after confirming his wife's successful surgery and paid for his crimes.
After all the incidents were settled, Go Se-yoon realized Kang Tae-Ju's sincere intention to bear the wounds alone for her. Go Se-yoon said, "This time I'll let go. Let's divorce," and Kang Tae-Ju also said, "The way we love is just different," choosing a path of understanding each other and letting go comfortably.
