WayV released all tracks of their eighth mini album 'Vision Wings' and the music video for the title track '鸢 (Vision Wings)' on various music sites at 6 p.m. on the 10th.
WayV, who announced their comeback eight months after the winter special album '白色定格 (Eternal White)' released in Dec. last year, is set to precisely target the tastes of the global K-pop fandom this summer with a new release that highlights their deeper musical color and identity.
Featuring seven tracks in total, WayV's new release 'Vision Wings' cleverly uses Chinese words that share pronunciation but have different meanings—'鸢 (solgae)', '源 (geunwon)', '圆 (wanjeon)', '元 (sijak)', '愿 (sowon)', '园 (nagwon)'—as core keywords for each song, organically weaving a message throughout the album about the essential force and driving power that moves WayV.
The title track '鸢 (Vision Wings)' is an appealing Chinese-style hip-hop performance song that layers a trendy jungle beat–based hip-hop production over the flowing, enchanting melody of the traditional Chinese string instrument guzheng. Centering on the main theme of the 'solgae (鸢)', which symbolizes the being that soars highest even in storms, it sings of a firm belief that does not waver despite any trial.

The music video released together completed a sensuous visual reminiscent of a grand classical Chinese martial arts film by featuring intense red as the main key color. The members, transformed into warriors, show solemn and diverse appearances, and the overwhelming performances incorporating martial elements placed throughout the video further elevate the song's immersion.
Having steadily built their own firm musical narrative and overwhelming performances since debut, WayV once again proved their evolution with this new release.
