Big Bang (BIGBANG) marked their 20th anniversary by confirming the release of a new song and announcing a dazzling comeback.
On the 10th YG Entertainment opened the title poster on its official blog and said the group's new digital single "BiiiG" will be released at 6 p.m. on the 19th. The poster features silhouettes of the members standing beneath three beams of light (blue, red, yellow) in the darkness and stylish typography that together project the group's distinct, weighty presence.
The newly revealed song title "BiiiG" draws on the English word meaning large to intuitively encapsulate the group's identity. By uniquely altering a familiar word, it piques curiosity about the overwhelming scale and expanded universe they will newly present.
YG said "'BiiiG' is the song that most clearly shows Big Bang's present as they celebrate their 20th anniversary," and said, "You can look forward to another musical spectrum that Big Bang, which has long built its own distinctive musical world, will show."
This new release is the first song in 4 years and 4 months since they released "Spring Summer Fall Winter (Still Life)" in April 2022. Attention is focused on whether the group, which in the past solidified the foundations of K-pop by topping various charts and winning the main prize at the Golden Disc Awards without broadcast promotion, will once again shake the global music market.
Meanwhile, immediately after the new song's release, Big Bang will raise the curtain on a large-scale world tour, BIGBANG 2026-2027 WORLD TOUR XX : COSMOS. Starting with the Goyang performance on the 21st as the signal, they plan to meet fans around the world with more than 33 performances in 19 cities across North America, Europe, Oceania and Asia.
