Actor Jang Seo-hee shared her feelings about returning to KBS after 12 years.
On the 10th, a production presentation was held for KBS2's new daily drama "A Trap Called Desire" (writer Goo Ji-won, directors Lee Dae-kyung and Jung Kwang-soo, produced by Studio Bom and Bambunetwork).
"A Trap Called Desire" is a revenge melodrama about a woman whose life was stolen by a false murder charge who fights against vast desires to restore her fate. Writer Goo Ji-won, who wrote "Please, Summer" and "Urachacha My Life," and PD Lee Dae-kyung, who directed "Perfume" and "Youth of May," joined forces.
In particular, "A Trap Called Desire" is drawing strong interest even before broadcast as it marks the KBS return after 12 years of Jang Seo-hee, who earned the nickname "queen of daily dramas" by producing numerous hits such as "The Mermaid" and "Temptation of Wife." Jang Seo-hee, who takes the center of the tragedy, promises a different look from before, raising expectations further.
Returning to the small screen after about three years, Jang Seo-hee said, "I worked hard on the filming, and I ask that you tune in for the premiere," expressing her nervous feelings ahead of the first broadcast.
Known as the "queen of revenge dramas," Jang Seo-hee said, "There are many people like Joo Mi-ran everywhere. I like mystery-type works, and I wanted to play someone with human duality who gaslights others at least once. Then this project came along, and because I could transform from a victim in my performance, I decided to appear," adding, "I have lost much of my viciousness compared to before. I am older now and recharging my ferocity."
KBS2's new daily drama "A Trap Called Desire" will premiere at 7:50 p.m. on the 10th as the successor to "Pearl in Red".
