SEVENTEEN members Seungkwan and Dino will enlist as Army band soldiers on Oct. 26. Mingyu will fulfill his military duty as a social service worker starting next month.
Agency Pledis Entertainment said on the 10th via fan communication platform Weverse that "Seungkwan and Dino are scheduled to enlist as Army band soldiers on Oct. 26."
Seungkwan and Dino will not hold any separate official event on the day of enlistment. Pledis said, "As the training camp admission ceremony is an occasion joined by many service members and their families, we ask that you refrain from visiting the site."
Mingyu will begin alternative service as a social service worker starting Sept. 10. There will be no separate official event on the start date of service or on the day of future admission to the training camp, and the agency said, "Please refrain from visiting the alternative service workplace."
The three members will take part in scheduled official activities until they fulfill their military duty. During their service, they plan to meet fans through content prepared in advance.
With this enlistment, SEVENTEEN will have most members, except for some, fulfilling their military duty. S.Coups has been judged exempt from military service, and THE 8 and Jun, who hold Chinese nationality, and Joshua, who holds U.S. nationality, are not subject to Korea's military duty.
Pledis said, "We ask for your unwavering love and support so that Mingyu, Seungkwan and Dino can faithfully fulfill their military duty and return in healthier form."
