DSP Media Co. released 20th Century Boy and Girl Special Track. 1 "Because I loved you" at noon on the 8th through various music platforms.
This song was written and composed by ballad producer H:CODE, and vocalists Lee Jin-jae and Lee Hyun-seok sang to enhance its completeness.
"Because I loved you" is a song that captures the narrator's feelings of still being unable to forget that person even after the breakup. "Please be sure to be happy," the person's last words, are not kept, and the narrator spends countless nights alone, singing a longing that, far from fading, instead "only grows smaller." Rather than fading with time, the emotion of the breakup deepens, conveyed through plain yet poignant lyrics and melody.
H:CODE, who composed the song, is a producer and ballad composer who debuted in 2016 with the single "The first story." He is well known for the "~th story" series, in which he releases songs in collaboration with guest vocalists on each album, and has consistently presented delicate ballads while working with various artists, including the hit "You in my dream" in collaboration with singer Jeon Sang-geun.
Vocalists Lee Jin-jae and Lee Hyun-seok, who participated in the singing, are strong in expressing deep emotion. In particular, Lee Hyun-seok was recognized for his solid vocal ability while active as a member of the four-member vocal group VROMANCE. The meeting of the two voices completed the song's sense of longing and resonance even more deeply.
