Group IVE member Ahn Yujin is making a strong showing as the sharp "all-purpose ace" on tvN's new variety show Space Rice Cake Shop.
Ahn Yujin recently attended the store opening ceremony with Lee Eunji, Mimi and Lee Youngji. At the ritual he said, "I hope I don't cut my hand while slicing, that all my unnie(s) don't fight, and that my cuteness is well captured," offering a cute, maknae-like remark.
From the preparations for opening, Ahn Yujin's distinctive sense stood out. Not only did she meticulously learn how to make rice cakes, she also showcased the new song "Rebel Heart(레블 하트)" using the steam from steaming the rice cakes, demonstrating a cheerful rapport with the members. During the soft opening she received passing marks by offering tailored customer service as well as sharp menu feedback and suggested suitable drinks.
On the long-awaited first day of business, despite bad weather and unexpected situations such as heavy rain and power outages, Ahn Yujin lifted team morale with positive energy. When customers were sparse after opening, she went outside herself to actively promote the store and eventually secured a reservation customer with passion. Even amid a flood of orders, she calmly oversaw the dining area and relayed customers' compliments to the tired kitchen staff, bringing vitality to the store.
Expectations are high for Ahn Yujin's future activities after she flawlessly performed all assigned roles from menu planning to kitchen assistance, publicity and serving.
Meanwhile, the tvN show Space Rice Cake Shop featuring Ahn Yujin airs every Friday at 8:35 p.m. The group IVE, which includes Ahn Yujin, is currently meeting fans worldwide through its second world tour "SHOW WHAT I AM(쇼 왓 아이 엠)".
