BTS's "Arirang" (ARIRANG) has set a new team record on the U.K. Official Charts.
According to the latest U.K. Official Charts (Aug. 7–13), BTS's fifth studio album "Arirang" ranked 43rd on the Official Albums Top 100, marking its 20th consecutive week on the chart. This surpasses the 19-week consecutive entry record of the mini album 6 "MAP OF THE SOUL : PERSONA," released in April 2019, setting a new team record for longest run.
"Arirang" continued to enjoy steady popularity on the subcharts. It ranked 19th on the Official Scottish Albums chart and 64th on the Official Albums Streaming chart, and it rose six places from the previous week to 16th and 18th on the Official Physical Albums and Official Album Sales charts, respectively.
In particular, it re-entered the Official Vinyl Albums chart at 38, proving sustained interest despite the passage of time since its release.
The album track "NORMAL" is also continuing its chart performance. "NORMAL" ranked 11th on the Official Singles Downloads chart and 13th on the Official Singles Sales chart, marking its fifth week on both charts overall. Since the music video and the Korean single were released on July 17, it has once again shown a presence on the charts.
On global audio and music streaming platform Spotify, "Arirang" remains popular. "Arirang" ranked third on the Weekly Top Albums Global (Aug. 6). For 20 weeks since its release it has stayed consistently in the top three positions, maintaining a high rank.
The title track "SWIM" also rose for a second consecutive week, reaching sixth on the Weekly Top Songs Global. Four months after release, it remains in the top 10, receiving steady love from global fans. Album tracks also charted, with "NORMAL" at 44, "Body to Body" at 174 and "Hooligan" at 193.
With both the album and singles enjoying long-running success, BTS is continuing to meet global fans through its world tour.
BTS opened the second leg of its North American tour in East Rutherford, New Jersey, on Aug. 1–2 (local time). After successfully completing the Foxborough shows, they will continue performances on Aug. 10–11 at Baltimore's M&T Bank Stadium. BTS will become the first Korean artist to hold a solo concert at that venue, setting another meaningful record.
